What inspired you to start your journey as an author and educator?

My journey as an author and educator has always been intertwined with my desire to make a difference in the lives of children. From an early age, I recognized the power of storytelling to inspire, teach, and heal. As I pursued a career in education, I realized that traditional methods often missed the opportunity to connect with students on a deeper, more personal level. I wanted to create an educational environment where children felt seen, valued, and empowered. My first children’s book was born from this desire, combining my passion for education and my love for storytelling. The response from both parents and educators was overwhelming, and I knew I was onto something special.

Through writing, I found a way to instill values such as empathy, resilience, and kindness. Stories provide a safe space for children to explore complex emotions and navigate challenges in a way that feels accessible. My goal as an author is to create narratives that resonate with young readers and encourage them to become compassionate, thoughtful individuals. As an educator, I strive to bring these same values into the classroom, creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

How does your approach to education differ from traditional models?

My approach to education focuses on nurturing the whole child, not just academic achievement. While knowledge and intellectual development are essential, I believe education should also address emotional, social, and spiritual growth. In my school, we emphasize character education alongside academics, encouraging students to develop values such as integrity, respect, and empathy. Traditional models often prioritize test scores and academic benchmarks, but I think it’s equally important to help students build self-confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

I also incorporate experiential learning and creativity into the curriculum, allowing students to engage in hands-on projects, community service, and collaborative activities. These experiences help them develop problem-solving skills, work in teams, and see the real-world application of what they’re learning. In my view, an innovative education model is one that adapts to the changing needs of society, preparing students not only to succeed in academics but to lead fulfilling, meaningful lives. We want our students to leave with a strong moral foundation and the confidence to navigate the challenges they’ll face as they grow.

What do you hope young readers take away from your books?

Each of my children’s books is designed to spark important conversations about values and emotions. I hope young readers walk away feeling empowered, knowing that their thoughts, feelings, and actions matter. My characters often face challenges that require them to be brave, compassionate, or resilient—qualities I want every child to believe they have within themselves. I think children are incredibly intuitive and capable of understanding complex emotions if given the right tools, and stories are a wonderful way to provide those tools.

Ultimately, I want my books to inspire children to be kind to others, to believe in their potential, and to embrace their unique qualities. I want them to see that it’s okay to make mistakes, as long as they learn from them and keep moving forward. Through my writing, I hope to create a safe space where young readers can explore their own experiences and emotions. When parents or teachers read these stories with children, it opens up opportunities for meaningful conversations that reinforce the values we all want to pass down to the next generation.
